Welcome to Beaver Lake Retreat. We’re excited to host you and want to ensure every guest has a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable stay. Please review the following house rules carefully. By staying at the property, you agree to comply with all rules outlined below.
Occupancy & Booking Requirements
Maximum occupancy: 8 guests at all times (including children)
Only registered guests are permitted on the property
No visitors or additional guests without prior approval
Primary renter must be 25 years of age or older
Subletting or third-party bookings are not permitted
No Parties or Events
This is a quiet, family-oriented property
Parties, events, and large gatherings are strictly prohibited
If you are planning a party-style weekend, this property is not a fit
Violation may result in immediate eviction without refund
Noise & Neighbours
Please respect our neighbours at all times
Outdoor noise must be kept to a minimum after 11:00 PM
Excessive noise or complaints may result in termination of your stay
Hot Tub Rules
Use of the hot tub is at your own risk.
No one under 12 years old
Ages 12–16 must be supervised
Maximum 6 people at a time
No glass in or around the hot tub
No oils, soaps, or foreign substances
Limit use to 20 minutes per session
Keep cover closed and latched when not in use
Do not use during storms
Improper use requiring cleaning or repair may result in charges of $150–$500
Waterfront, Dock & Equipment
Use of dock, kayaks, paddleboards, and water equipment is at your own risk
Life jackets are provided and strongly recommended
Guests are responsible for supervising children at all times
Firepit & Fire Safety
Fires are permitted only in the designated firepit
Firewood is not provided
Fires must be fully extinguished before leaving unattended (bucket in laundry room)
Do not remove wood from the property or surrounding areas (bring your own firewood pls)
Smoking & Pets
No smoking inside the cottage
Cigarette butts left on the property will result in a $100 cleaning fee
No pets allowed due to severe allergies
Septic System (Critical)
This is a septic property:
Flush toilet paper only
Do not flush wipes, tissue, or hygiene products
Do not pour grease, oil, or food waste down the sink
Failure to follow these rules may result in damage charges
Garbage
All garbage must be placed in clear municipal bags
Place garbage in the bin in the garage
Follow instructions for weekly pickup if applicable
Failure to comply may result in additional fees
Property Care
Please treat our home with care and respect
Leave the property in the same condition as arrival
Report any damage immediately
Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear
Awning (Important)
The deck awning must be fully closed at night and during wind or rain
Damage caused by leaving it open will be charged in full
Parking
Parking is limited to the driveway only
Up to 8–10 vehicles max
No street parking
Liability & Safety
Guests use all amenities at their own risk
The property includes natural and recreational hazards (waterfront, stairs, loose rocks, fire, etc.)
Guests accept full responsibility for their safety and that of their group
Check-In / Check-Out
Check-in: 4:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM
Before departure, guests must:
Strip used beds and place linens on the floor (no need to remove duvet covers, we’ll take care of those)
Place all used towels and robes in the bathtub
Load and start the dishwasher (if applicable)
Remove or discard all food items
Take out all garbage (must be in clear municipal bags)
Return patio furniture, life jackets, and equipment to original locations
Ensure the hot tub cover is securely closed
Add chlorine to the hot tub if instructed prior to checkout
